The award was given following a complex site monitoring procedure. In fact, in the work areas, there are 11 safety teams, each of which is assigned an area to be evaluated. The safety teams consist of a mixed group comprising personnel of the end-customer BP, the safety managers of the customer Bechtel and ours (our main contact person is Mr. Ahmed Shaat), as well as the HSE managers of the area in question (both of the customer Bechtel as well as our Alessio Tomassini and Stefano Melino).
Inspections are carried out and scores are assigned to different parameters. Once all the data has been collected, it is shared in a meeting involving all the participants in the inspections: an in-depth analysis and discussion of the activities and inspections carried out. In particular, the points considered negative in order to obtain better performance are analysed and the positive choices made in the various work areas are highlighted so that they can be applied in other areas.
This procedure is repeated every week. At the end of each month, depending on the scores obtained during all the inspections, the winning area is chosen.
This time, the performance of the men of Carlo Gavazzi Egypt was the best!
