For the exploitation of these deposits, the company has a seawater impulsion system that feeds the facilities and a Concentrate pipeline that returns the copper concentrate to the mechanized wharf located in the town of Michilla, 110 km north of the city of Antofagasta, where shipment is made. 

To mitigate the effects of corrosion, Minera Centinela has decided to replace sections totalizing approximately 20 km, between the current pumping stations No. 1 (EB1) and Pumping Station No. 3 (EB-3), with a new Steel pipeline.

Works will be carried out in 3 different sectors with different characteristics in thickness and steel typology:

First located between the pier sector and the steep-slope sector; parallel to SIAM I at a distance of 5 meters (regular line).
This section in its initial part is located in an area of ​​gravel and sand and culminates in large part with the presence of rock up to the foot of the cliff.

Second runs from the top of the steep-slope to Pk 18+520; regular line, area of ​​gravel and sand.

Third from Pk 30+ 370 at Pk 35+012; similar to the 2nd Section.

“Quebrada del Diablo” is a high slope section.
