The plant has 8 compressors and is one of the biggest stations we have ever built. This infrastructure compresses gas from the zone of Alrar so it can be used commercially on the domestic market right away.
The site is located in the desert 1,500 km south of the capital, Algiers, 120 km north of In Amenas and 4 km west of the Libyan border.

The plant takes the fluids from the existing gathering system and boosts their pressure at the inlet of the existing gas and liquid processing facilities.
SCOPE OF WORK
The contract includes engineering, procurement and construction of gas and gas-condensate separation and compression facilities. Trunkline and flowline work are also included.

The plant mainly consists of:
- Slug catcher
- Low-pressure stage compression with 3+1 gas turbine driven compressors
- High-pressure stage compression with 3+1 gas turbine driven compressors
- Liquid handling facilities
- Produced water handling and treatment
- All required utilities, as the plant will be stand-alone
