Fast-track project for the installation of a GE MS5002D gas turbine in Karachaganak, in the Uralsk Region where environment is characterized by extreme temperatures that can go down to -30° C. The project definitely represents a great challenge due to technical and design difficulties and its remote location. The requested construction schedule is also particularly challenging.

Karachaganak field is located in northwest Kazakhstan. Discovered in 1979, it covers an area of 280 square kilometers and it is one of the world's largest oil and gas condensate fields.
SCOPE OF WORK
Bonatti's scope of work includes the engineering, procurement and construction of the forth injection compressor.

Bonatti established a new base in Tungush, Kazakhstan, dedicated to pre-fabrication and welding of F22 high-thick piping deploying Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) system. This method allows to weld pipes, saving more than 50% time respect to standard manual welding and at the same time improving welding quality.
Here in Tungush Bonatti carried out a training programme on the SAW method. This programme consists in instructing the welding specialists on SAW process and in increasing their welding skills up to the highest levels.
