The gas produced in this area feeds the plants of Mellitah, on the Libyan coast, and from there is transported to Italy to the Gela terminal in Sicily. The projects in this area seek to increase the yield of the field and the capacity to transport hydrocarbons.

Wafa is located few kilometres from the border with Algeria and its reservoir straddles the frontier.
SCOPE OF WORK
Implementation of the Inlet Gas Compressor Station (IGCS) and 9 additional oil and gas production wells.
The IGCS boosts gas arriving from the wells to the existing treatment plant with installation of four (4) new compressor units driven by four (4) Frame 5 GENP gas turbines.
Nine additional new wells will be also connected to the existing gathering via new flow lines and two trunk lines.
Process and operational control will be integrated in the existing Plant Control System by expanding the hardware and software in the system currently in operation.Project highlights
